Recap
Rough afternoon for our Belgian Lions at the European Championship as they lose to Montenegro.
For three quarters our Lions struggled to get into any kind of rhythm due to a lack of creativity on the offensive end and bad outside shooting as they allowed Montenegro to control the game with Dubljevic (21 pts & 11 rebs) leading the way. Retin Obasohan was the only player who managed to find any kind of success with his individual actions but couldn’t prevent our Lions from falling behind by a maximum of 20 points (70-50) in the opening minutes of the final quarter.
Belgium then finally started to find the solutions inside the paint and slowly but surely were able to cut the lead, giving the fans a little bit of hope. Unfortunately the Belgian surge came too late and Montenegro was able to hold onto the 76-70 win.
Retin Obasohan led the way for Belgium with his 25 pts on 8-10 FG shooting and 7-9 FT shooting. Manu Lecomte ended up with 10 pts (all in the second half), while Hans Vanwijn added 8 pts & 7 rebs.
