Brussels Basketball player tests positive for Coronavirus

A Brussels Basketball player tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.

Brussels played his first game of the preseason against Den Bosch in the Brussels European Tournament. Without some players like Foerts, Washington or Massamba, Ian Hanavan’s team was in front for the most part of the game, but the team coached by Jean-Marc Jaumin managed to win the game thanks to a big 4th quarter (81-89).

But during the game, one of the player from Brussels team didn’t feel well. He was subbed out early and didn’t play the rest of the game. He went to the hospital to be tested for COVID-19. The result was positive. Brussels was supposed to face Racing Luxembourg this Sunday while Ieper should have face Heroes Den Bosch. All the games are, of course, cancelled.
