Aalst easily beats Charleroi (88-103)

For their last game of the pre-season, Charleroi played against Aalst in Jumet yesterday.

Both teams already played a friendly game a couple of days earlier with a close win for Aalst in Het Forum (72-67).

This time, Aalst didn’t lose any time and they already had a 10 points lead after the first quarter (16-26).

In the second quarter, Charleroi was not able to stop Aalst’s offense: Yves Defraigne’s team scored 32 points in 10 minutes (35-58 after 20′).

After halftime, the very young Spirou team showed some character and some interesting moves in offense to cut the deficit to 16 (64-80 after 30′).

The last quarter didn’t change anything and Aalst clinches the victory (88-103).

For Charleroi, the topscorer was Milan Samardzic with 17 points. Yoeri Schoepen scored 15 points.

Vladimir Mihailovic was the best player of the game with 29 points, Nathan Kuta was dominant in the paint with 20 points.
