The Belgian Cats won the “Best Belgian Team of the Year” award

The Belgian Cats won the “Best Belgian Team of the Year” award this Friday.

The Cats received 465 points, the Red Flames received 245 pts. Deceuninck-QuickStep cycling team received 208 pts and the third spot. The Cats succeed the Red Lions, the national hockey team, who won the award last year.

The Belgian Cats had an exceptional year 2020 with a historic qualification for the Tokyo Olympic Games last February after a qualifying tournament organized in Oostende .

In November, they also qualified for Euro 2021, the third in a row.
