Philip Mestdagh is the new coach of Namur

Philip Mestdagh, the coach of the Belgian Cats, is the new coach of Namur. Namur parted ways with the former coach, Jan Callewaert.

“Basket Namur Capitale and Jan Callewaert have decided to stop their collaboration with immediate effect, for personal reasons. Each of the parties has decided not to expand on the reasons for this separation out of respect for each other. The assistants Aurélien Garraux and Benoit Aerts will take charge of the team for the European Cup in Romania. Philip Mestdagh was Namur’s coach between 2017 and 2020. He decided to leave the club to coach abroad but with the actual pandemic, it was difficult for him to find a challenge abroad.
